Title: Noble Moon to Disappoint
Author: Sen
Notes: Also written when I was sixteen. Ha, I recycled it and used it in my poetry notebook for junior honors English. That teacher *hated* me. And because of that, I wasn't too fond of her, either. [/rambling in ot]

The late night sky held a thousand stars, the blues shifting from lights
to darks, creating a cut-glass effect. A young woman's vision distorted, her
eyes blurring from reality to hazy dreamland.
She suddenly awoke to the sound of a bell, first class had begun. Looking
around, she took in the brightness of it all, summer felt so near. She sat
in her seat by the open window, her attention wavering to the man of her
dreams. 'College is so great,' she thought, glancing back to the professor.
She heard a slight buzzing noise as a very large bumble bee flew its way in.
She took in a sharp breath, hoping it'd stay away. Sensing her fear, the bee
sped over and stung her twice in the neck. She cried out, and waved her
hands in the air. The bee came back and stung her neck once more, this time
being squashed into her neck with her hand as well.
She cried out again, to the professor to help her inject her shot for bee
stings. He didn't seem to hear or see her. She cried, fumbling in her pack
for a needle. Time seemed to slow, as did her breathing. her breaths became
shallow and disoriented. She looked down at herself, her blue pajamas
soaking in the sunlight. No longer able to breathe, her arms weakened and
hung limp at her sides, weighing her body forward. Her pack and needle long
forgotten. Too tired to fight or try anymore, she let her head fall on the
desk. Her last thoughts were of her fiance.
Waking up to a slight drizzle, he got out of his blankets and sleepily
stalked to the one he loved. Seeing her hands around her neck, and her cold
blue skin matching her pajamas, he dropped to his knees in denial. He tried
to revive her, but her body remained a constant stillness. The dark rain
clouds had sneaked up in the night, as if mourning the camper's
loss.
